Scouts at Wells Of Hope Junior School
Scouting is a worldwide movement that has shaped the development of youth and adults for 100 years. Scouts are in every part of our community, and Scouts is the biggest and most successful youth organization in Uganda.
During the activities, the Scouts should make notes of their observations, thoughts, questions, and feelings.  At the end of two hours training, every member is happy and smiling for the work.
We are privileged to have a Scouts club at the school, which is headed by one of the teachers at Wells of Hope Junior School. The club comprises 20 children.

Theprogramme comprises activities like community cleaning and farming. The scouts club also does projects in the society like clean water project; as a school and scouts, they see how to help the community to have clean water. They conduct camps which help to strengthen the club. Through these camps, they share experiences; they also engage in an outdoor activity.

The scouts undergo a series of trainings; the theory bit of it being the first session, followed by the practical session. The trainings cover various areas like; Scout law, promise, salute, hand shake and History of Scouting. The next part is practical which involves the use of materials like ropes, poles and others.

Scouting has provided our children with an opportunity to learn new things, to provide service to others, children who belong to the scout club are well disciplined, clean, obedient, and they have improved with their self esteem, they can express themselves.

Our scouts club has challenges which include lack of camping equipment and scout literature. Any size of donation towards this is welcome.
